Every other town on the service area map is measured out from Waukesha. It is where the truck starts and finishes, which means shorter drives, easier scheduling, and a better chance of fitting a job in when the weather turns.
Most calls here are house washes. Older neighborhoods off the Fox River and out toward Frame Park run to painted lap siding and aluminum; the newer subdivisions on the edges are mostly vinyl. Both grow algae on the north wall, and the two want different handling.

A north-facing wall gets no direct sun. It stays damp after every rain, and damp plus a humid Wisconsin summer is exactly what algae and mildew want. It is almost always the worst wall on the house.
Water gets into the surface, freezes, expands and opens it up a little more each cycle. Concrete and masonry take the worst of it, and a rougher surface holds dirt better next season.
Salt off the street ends up on driveways, walks and the lower courses of siding all winter, then sits there until something washes it off.
Tree cover keeps a house shaded and damp, drops debris in the gutters, and brings the spider webs that show up along soffits and around light fixtures.

The north wall, almost every time. It never gets direct sun, so it stays damp long after the rest of the house has dried, and that is where algae and mildew take hold first. On a wooded lot it is worse again. That said, if one side has growth on it the rest of the house is already going the same way — it is just further behind. We wash the whole house, not one wall, because a single clean side next to three dirty ones looks worse than leaving it alone.
The season runs from the end of April through the end of October. Spring and early summer are the busiest stretch of the year, so earlier calls get more choice of date. Sanding and sealing is June through August.
