A Delafield home that had not been cleaned since the owners moved in, under enough oak cover to keep the siding damp most of the year.
The owners had been in the house five years without touching the exterior, and had no idea whether the previous owner ever had it cleaned either. Several mature oaks surround the property. That much shade keeps siding damp long after a rain, and damp siding under trees is about the most hospitable thing you can offer moss and algae. It had spread across the walls and was starting to hold moisture against the surface, which is where cleaning stops being cosmetic and starts being maintenance.
Siding type, how far the growth had gone, and every bed and shrub that needed soaking first.
Grass, bushes and beds saturated with plain water before any solution was mixed.
Algaecide applied at low pressure and given time to work. No pressure on the siding at all.
House and everything under it rinsed down, then a walk-around together to check every wall.

Brad was great to deal with! We had been in the house 5 years without touching the outside exterior, who knows how long before us. We have many oak trees surrounding our house, and Pristine made it new again! Highly recommend. Also to mention it's always good to support your local firemen and first responders! Thanks Again Brad!

Killed at the root rather than rinsed off, most homes here look right for about two years. Under heavy oak cover like this one, closer to a year is realistic, because the shade never lets the siding dry out properly.
It will come back eventually on any house, shaded or not. The difference is how fast. Trees are worth having, so the answer is a shorter cycle, not cutting them down.
Not for the wash. If branches are actually touching the siding that is worth dealing with, but shade on its own just means the house wants cleaning more often.
Send this over and Brad will get back to you, usually within a few hours. Every job is looked at in person before a price is given — no phone quotes.
